Hozier’s Hit songs described for when you’re looking for that specific kinda vibe
“Almost (Sweet Music)”
If people try to tell you Hozier doesn’t have a song that makes you wanna do a little jig I need you to show them this song. It has such an uplifting beat and its so catchy and makes me wanna do a shimmy. If I am in a good mood, or need to be in one, I always throw on this song. Whether it’s to start my day for school, on the start of a road trip, or even just doing chores around the house, this is the song I put on.
“Dinner and Diatribes”
This one belongs on the gym playlist. This song is the perfect song to workout to no matter what you are doing. Lifting weights? Yep, those drums get you pumped up. Walking the treadmill? The beat is the perfect pace to walk to. Boxing? Something in this song makes you wanna throw those punches.
“From Eden”
I’d like to start by saying this is one of my favorite songs ever written. So out of all the things you read, this will be the most biased. This song makes me feel so alive and like life is worth living. To have someone be so in love with you and long for you. This is just *chefs kiss*
“Jackie and Wilson”
Need a song to put on your next road trip playlist? This is it. This is the epitome of road trip. The song gives almost Bonnie and Clyde except like out in the country and not as serious. Very much ride with the windows down and hair flowing in the wind.
“Nina Cried Power”
This song just makes you feel like starting a revolution. I can imagine it as the song that goes behind a montage scene of like protestors coming together in a movie to fight for their rights. On that note, if you need something to get you pumped up, or if you’re on your way to a protest, this is the song for you.
“Swan Upon Leda”
This goes into one of two playlists: An “I am Sad” or an “I need to Focus”. The calm lul of his deep voice and the soothing guitar strums and music behind it allows you to just be calm and do what you need to do. However, if you are sad and need to lay in your bed and stare at the ceiling for a while, this song also works. Just throw it on, listen to the lyrics and his chill-inducing voice and boom, all of a sudden you are in tears. You’re Welcome.
Now for the songs I throw on my “Thinking About Life” playlist. These are the songs that have the calm guitar backing and Hozier sings with his lullaby voice and there is just something so calm about them. Here they are:
“Cherry Wine”
If you are in a relationship, this song makes you think about your significant other. If you are not in a relationship, this song makes you wish you were.
“Like Real People Do”
This one is sweet. Good for a stroll on a nice sunny day. People around you are laughing, kids are playing, birds are flying through the bright blue sky, and you are just appreciating life.
“Wasteland, Baby”
This one is also just very calm and sweet. Very endearing.
